Meow Meow is made from high-quality soybean fibres and plant-based binders. It contains no formaldehyde, harmful chemicals, toxins or industrial binders.
-
Yes. Meow Meow is suitable for cats of all breeds and life stages. When introducing any new litter, we recommend monitoring your cat and allowing it time to become comfortable with the change.
-
Meow Meow is 99.5% dust-free, helping create a cleaner litter-box area and a more healthy and comfortable environment for both cats and their owners.
-
No litter is completely tracking-free, but Meow Meow’s carefully selected 2.0 mm grain size is less likely to cling to your cat’s paws, helping reduce the amount of litter carried away from the tray keeping your home cleaner than silicone and bentonite cat litter.
-
The highly absorbent soybean fibres quickly capture moisture, while the bacteriostatic formula helps suppress bacterial growth and unpleasant odours. Meow Meow cat litter is far more effective than other types of cat litter at controlling unpleasant odours in your home.
-
Fill the clean, dry litter tray with an even layer approximately 5–7 cm deep. Maintaining a sufficient depth helps the litter absorb moisture and form compact clumps effectively.
-
Remove clumps and solid waste at least once a day and top up the tray with fresh litter as needed. The tray should also be emptied and cleaned periodically to maintain a fresh and hygienic environment.
-
For one cat, we recommend replacing all the litter every 2–3 weeks. Between changes, scoop out clumps and solid waste daily, topping up with fresh litter when needed.
If several cats share the same litter box, a complete change may be needed about once a week. Every household is different, so if you notice lingering odours or your cat becomes reluctant to use the box, it’s time for a fresh refill.
-
Some cats will use their new litter immediately, while others prefer a gradual transition. Begin by mixing a small amount of Meow Meow with your cat’s existing litter. Gradually increase the proportion over several days until the tray contains only Meow Meow.
-
Meow Meow may be suitable for automatic and self-cleaning litter boxes that are designed to accept tofu or plant-based clumping litter. However, compatibility depends on the individual machine and its sifting mechanism.
Meow Meow has a fine 2.0 mm grain diameter, but both the thickness and length of tofu grains can affect how easily they pass through a machine’s grate. Some automatic litter boxes, particularly models designed exclusively for fine clay litter, may trap our longer tofu grains, discard clean litter or experience blockages.
Before use, check whether your machine’s manufacturer permits tofu or plant-based litter and what specifications it stipulates regarding this. If it does, follow the recommended fill level and test a small quantity while observing the first few cleaning cycles.
Where the machine allows it, setting the cleaning cycle to begin approximately 10–15 minutes after use may give the litter additional time to form a firmer clump. If available, recalibrate the machine’s litter-level or weight sensors after changing litter types.
Do not use Meow Meow in a machine that specifies clay-only, crystal or proprietary litter.
-
Small individual clumps may be flushable where permitted by local plumbing and wastewater regulations. Never flush large quantities at once, and do not flush litter if you use a septic system or if local guidance advises against it.
When in doubt, dispose of used litter with your household waste.
-
Yes. Meow Meow litter is 99.5% dust-free, helping to minimise the airborne particles that can irritate sensitive noses and lungs. Made from natural ingredients with no added silica or harsh chemicals, it is gentle and a suitable choice for kittens, older cats and cats prone to respiratory sensitivity.
However, every cat is different. If your cat has asthma, allergies or another diagnosed respiratory condition, we recommend consulting your veterinarian and monitoring them when introducing any new litter.
-
Yes. Because it is made primarily from plant-based soybean fibres, Meow Meow is biodegradable and provides a more environmentally considerate alternative to many traditional mineral-based litters.
-
Reseal the bag securely and store it in a cool, dry place away from moisture. Keeping the litter dry helps preserve its absorbency and clumping performance.
